Franny Reese Tondo (obv)
This polyurethane cast, of the original art that became a bronze medallion edition for Scenic Hudson Inc., depicts the beloved environmentalist Franny Reese. It was Franny who, with Pete Seeger and others, fought for the protection of the Husdon River. The establishment of the EPA was one of the fruits of her labor.
The sculptor worked from photographs and videos of Franny, as the environmental activist had died a few years prior to the commission.
